On the heights of Grasse, in an 18th-century farm building, three bedrooms of 32 to 39 sqm and a 5,000 sqm garden planted with olive trees, a lime tree and chestnut trees. The elliptical pool was once the farm’s main water reservoir. Under the pergola at the entrance to the wine cellar, an Isabella grapevine yields its sweet grapes at the end of summer.
The house holds the Clef Verte label, and the ecological commitment shows everywhere at La Vieille Ferme de Grasse: solid soaps, Marseille-soap laundry liquid, rainwater for the vegetable garden, solar panels, sheep’s wool insulation in the walls. Produce comes from nearby artisans and farmers, eggs from the garden’s hens.
A former culinary writer trained at the École de Boulangerie et Pâtisserie de Paris, Priscilla opens her table once or twice a week, for a minimum of four guests, by prior reservation: starter, main course, dessert, a glass of wine, a coffee. In the morning, breakfast is served under the pergola. The hardest part is leaving the table.
